Your home is the place you go to relax after a long day. It is also quite possibly the biggest investment that you will ever make in your life, so you’ll want to be comfortable as soon as you walk through the door. One problem that a lot of people experience is that they find it hard to actually feel “at home” in their house. They find it cold, unwelcoming and generally quite uncomfortable. Do Away with Clutter
Eliminating clutter can easily be the main aspect of making your home way more comfortable. If you have a home with way too much stuff then this can make the whole house feel stressed. If you have a messy kitchen then this can actually make you eat even more and this is something that you will want to avoid if you are watching your waistline. If you want to eliminate all of these problems then try and get rid of the things you don’t need. You also need to get rid of things that you haven’t used in the last 6 months or so. You may be thinking that you’ll need it at “some point” or it will “come in useful” but if you can easily go out and buy it again, you don’t really need to keep it. Start in One Place
You’ll want to start in one place and then work your way around. The best place to start here would be in the entrance hall. This is where you walk in from a long day and it helps to remind yourself that you are awesome in your own way and that this is actually your home. Choose something that makes you happy and then hang it up on the wall so you see it when you come home. Your entranceway is your chance to say something about your home and it is a great way for you to really blend everything together as well. It’s All About Your Walls
A lot of homes have wild colours in the bedroom. The main reason why people do this is because they want to create personality but at the same time this can cause a bit of unrest. You may be better off opting for lighter colours. Try and think about utilising pastel colours to create that relaxing effect. You also need to make sure that you wipe down your walls and clean them every so often. A dirty room or a room with stains can feel very uncomfortable and it’s surprising to see how much better you’ll feel when the room’s been cleaned up. If y

Fresh flowers add a light and airy feel to a room and they also add a ton of colour as well. At the end of the day, they are a brilliant way for you to add a little comfort and the smell of them when you walk into a room can make you feel really relaxed and truly at home.
