Easy and Yummy Peach Cobbler Recipe
Easy and Yummy Peach Cobbler Recipe. Even though I’m a Texas rancher now, there was a time when I was a Georgia peach. Every time I visit my family in Georgia, I get them to make my favorite peach cobbler recipe.
Luckily I’ve been able to find some fresh peaches in our area recently, and I couldn’t help but make a peach cobbler (that I don’t have to share *wink*).
After using up all of our fresh peaches, I still have a taste for peach cobbler so I created a new recipe with canned peaches. I have some that I my Georgia family canned for me but it can be made with canned peaches from your favorite supermarket as well.
I’m not going to lie, it’s not quite as satisfying to make it as it is to peel fresh peaches that leave their sticky juice flowing down my hands and arms, but taste-wise, it’s a hit.
If you are looking for a great, easy, and quick dessert recipe then you need to try this! I’m going to love to make it for family get-togethers or church potluck. If you need more you can double up on the recipe! They’ll never know it’s made from canned peaches.
Easy and Yummy Peach Cobbler Recipe
Ingredients:
1 (16 ounces) jar (or can if you’re not a canner & preserving kind of guy or gal) of peaches.
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of self-rising flour
1 cup of buttermilk
1/2 cup butter (equal to 1 stick). Real butter. Don’t skimp on the butter.
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
Set oven to 350 degrees
Melt butter in a 9 x 13 pan (pop in the oven until melted).
Mix buttermilk, flour, sugar, and vanilla extract then pour over the stick of melted butter, then add peaches on top, and spread evenly.
This makes a great dessert especially if you add some vanilla ice cream. This will serve 8 to 10 servings.
