Fun with fall home projects
Fun with fall home projects. Fall is quickly approaching and I am so thrilled about it!! Do you have any fall home improvements planned for the season yet? If not, check out these home projects for fall. This list will help you cruise through the season and get things done before they need to be done, which is always a good thing. Let me know if you have any to add to the list. In the meantime, here are a few home projects for fall:
Clean your gutters out
Are you having any issues with water flow around your home? Consider cleaning your gutters! During the fall months, more leaves will fall and this will cause your gutters to become even more clogged. Before this happens and any potential leaks arise, get them cleaned out!
Add some curtains to hold in the heat
Brrr – it’s getting chilly! One way to boost the heat in your home without spending money on gas or electricity? Add window coverings! Not only does this add a cozy look to your home, but it will help you save and keep heat within your home. It is a win-win. There are some affordable window coverings at Target and sometimes you can even snag a great deal at Home Goods.
Consider your chimney
If you have a fireplace, proper chimney cleaning is an important task to add to your home winterization checklist. “If your chimney has not been inspected or cleaned this past year, the very best time to do so is now, before the heating season,” says Marshall Peters, director of the Certified Chimney Professionals. Fireplaces produce deposits that are combustible and can burn at over 2000 degrees Fahrenheit, according to Peters. This is hot enough to destroy the chimney liner and even set your home on fire. That is why having your chimney inspected and swept is so very important each fall and/or winter. Make sure you get it done before the cool weather hits!
Does your lawn mower need maintenance work?
If you have a lawn mower that you used in the spring and summer months, make sure that you get it serviced if you do not use it in the winter! Doing so will help preserve the life of the mower. You can also add a gas stabilizer which allows, as well. Make sure when you are doing that, that you let it entirely run out of gas.
Do a fun project!
Don’t forget fun projects while you are at them. Have fun with fall home projects and do something that has been on your list. For, I’ve wanted to update my countertops for SO long. Good thing I learned about Click Countertops. They are an Atlanta-based company providing beautiful countertop options, like their quartzite countertops. Click Countertops makes the process “Amazon easy.” They changed up the typical process of choosing and installing countertops because, with 20+ years in the industry, they realized that the process was not set up to save you, the customer, time, money, and headaches. Working with them, you will have a great experience – you can expect a great price, speedy work, and a beautiful end product.
