Spending time with family on the farm is a great way to stay healthy and active. Once we bought the farm, I knew I wanted a place my adult children wanted to come to visit and have fun. Now as grandparents, we feel that our grandchildren are getting the same opportunity to experience life on a farm. My children tell me all the time how much they enjoy being at camp cooking out and fishing. They especially love taking the grandkids fishing. It makes them so happy just spending time with them away from home in another environment.

Staying healthy includes spending time together, sharing old stories, and creating new ones. With life being so busy, it is so relaxing just getting together with family and enjoying each other’s company.

I am not sure which comes first, the chicken or the egg but my family has been getting healthier as they spend more time together. We seem to eat a lot less junk food and eat more fruits and vegetables than we did before our grandkids came along. Our whole family spends time together at least once a week for dinner or breakfast which means we are eating meals together instead of grabbing fast food on the go so much anymore!
